Waking Stone is an American Rock Band from Washington DC. They create bold and artful alternative rock, hard rock, and classic rock. Their debut album, “Still Living in War” is out now and their second album is due for release in 2025.

The Band

In addition to the Cashes, Waking Stone’s studio recordings feature Nik Hughes on drums, a touring musician and recording artist with the band, Bush among others. Nik records his tracks with the Cashes productions at his own home studio in Gainesville, Virginia. You can look forward to hearing more awesome drumming from Nik on Waking Stone’s album 2, coming in 2025!

The Cashes long time friend, Jon Andrews is featured heavily on album 2 and also on the final track of album 1, “Now That We’re Here.” The chemistry between Jon and the Cashes is undeniable and his melodic sensibilities resonate deeply with emotional qualities of the work as well as some all around gritty guitar badassery. Jon plays electric guitar with Waking Stone and on occasion offers up the pedal steel.
